Our Green Initiative
DocuLynx has an estimated total of nearly 45 Billion pages online.
These days, immensely-large numbers are tossed around so vociferously, it’s nearly impossible to wrap our heads around these massive numerical sums. We decided to have some fun with math; both to help the less initiated absorb these absurd numbers, as-well as a fun way for our employees to brag about the difference we’re making.
The average tree yields roughly 8,300 pages of paper. The standard stack of 250 sheets of paper, measures 1 inch in height. If docuLynx were to print all of our online documents, combined with an additional 30 billion pages (via docHarbor), it would be equivalent to 9 million trees! If the same scenario were applied to the CD/DVD, COM as-well as alternate media docuLynx produces, we estimate nearly 50 million trees would require processing in-order to produce enough paper.
In-addition, if we were to include the large-volume customers equipped with docuLynx’s in-house software solutions, the necessary paper amount is equivalent to roughly 100 Million trees! How is that for a green initiative!? To ease our feeble-minds in the processing of these large & ludicrous numbers, we decided to have some fun. If we total these pages up and stack them next to well known landmarks around the world, the results were mind-blowing. See below.
