Mercury High Volume Server
Scalability and performance for the enterprise
Mercury Server is a multi-processing, multi-threaded publishing service that offers scalability and performance required for larger Mercury deployments. It is added to Mercury installations where the volumes of data, repository complexity, or concurrent user requests are large enough to require additional performances. When large volumes of content are being accessed per query, there is the potential of slowing down the server to a critical level. Mercury Server is able to consumer hundreds of concurrent user requests across vast amounts of data while maintaining the speed and efficiency our Mercury solution is known to deliver.
Mercury Server is a single Windows service that handles access to all Mercury databases under its control. A Microsoft Management Console interface is provided for GUI-based interaction with the Mercury Server service. The Server provides lock-free, multi-threaded access to all Mercury clients using TCP/IP sockets. As a Windows service, the Server runs with an MMC plug-in interface and hooks to performance monitoring tools and automation APIs for programmatic control.
Additionally, when utilized with Mercury Online Application and Mercury XML Web Services, Mercury Server provides an extremely high volume Internet and Intranet presentment solutions.
